I love to go to places I have never been and see things I have never seen. I like to learn other people's cultures and try other types of food that I may have never tried otherwise. So far I have only been to a couple of countries out of the Unites States (Germany and Mexico) and all over the western side of the U.S. Texas of course (New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Oklahoma and Michigan), but I plan to go everywhere...
I feel blessed to be born and raised in the very beautiful and diverse state of Texas and I guess you can say that I am a prideful Texan. If you have never been to Texas, then you need to get your little ass down here. One of my favorite things about this state is the diversity and ever-changing landscapes.
In the west you'll find the beautiful Chihuahua desert and chisos mountains (well we call them mountains). Big Bend is a beautiful national park, where you will find wildlife and wildflowers abundantly thriving. Relax in a hot spring or hunt for gold on a geological quest. West Texas is rich with history. There are historic forts and hotels to visit and observatories for star gazing. But if you are feeling adventurous then maybe unexplainable lights will give you a thrill. In Marfa they have lights that only come out at night.
Then if you make your way north, across plains and flatlands, you can drive on for miles. Texas is huge so you'll be driving a while. Where the stars are so bright that they light up the night.
If you are looking for lush evergreens then east is where you need to go. There are luscious green trees and rolling hills everywhere you look.
If you are like me and you love the sea then you should head south. Sandy white beaches and huge crashing waves. This is what you'll find when you drive that way.

Vilseck, Germany in February Beautiful little town |
Who doesn't like to go for a quiet walk in the German wilderness only to stumble upon a field of reindeer and an endless amount of wild flowers? |
I was stopped in my tracks when I got a glimpse of this and I was suddenly in The Sound of Music. Who goes for walks in places like this? So beautiful and perfect |

On the Bay
In Ingleside, Tx off the naval base in the base. Dolphin watching. Dolphins flock to places like this because they love to swim in the wake of the big ships passing through. I have loved dolphin and all marine life since I was a small child. My first dream job ever was to be a Marine Biologist.
Somewhere in the Texas hill country
We sure do love to take pictures in the bluebonnets down here. As you can see, they are quite beautiful.
